For most of her life, Sundae had only known a world of loneliness, a junk-filled yard, and a cold, empty garage. She lived among dozens of other neglected dogs, surviving without warmth, comfort, or kindness. When rescuers from Country Roads Animal Rescue Society in Oklahoma City found her, Sundae had just given birth to her puppies on a hard floor, never having known the safety of a real home.

Everything changed the moment she stepped into her foster home. Her foster mom, who goes by the name Mugglequeen on Reddit, laid down a soft blanket for her. As Sundae curled up on it for the first time, her face relaxed, and it was as if years of fear melted away. She finally felt safe.
Within just a week, Sundae showed how gentle and loving she truly was. She was perfectly house-trained, polite, and endlessly sweet. Mugglequeen named her Sundae because of her gentle nature and her soft, chocolate-and-caramel-colored fur. Though Sundae was shy around men at first, she began to trust again after her foster mom placed her boyfriend’s shorts on the bed, her favorite spot. Slowly, Sundae’s heart began to heal.

Now she spends her days cuddled close to her foster mom, sleeping peacefully and making up for the years she spent without affection. After being treated for heartworms and receiving the medical care she needed, Sundae is finally healthy and happy. Her puppies are safe in other foster homes, and Sundae is waiting for her forever family, a quiet, patient home where she can feel loved for the rest of her life.
