When Nixie and Jess, two adorable pups, were found abandoned under a trailer, they were scared and alone. A compassionate team of animal lovers rescued them and brought them to a safe place where they could get the medical attention they needed. Nixie was healthy, but Jess had a dislocated hip and an eye infection that required costly treatment.
Nixie was given a bath to get rid of the dirt and fleas that covered her fur. She showed her intelligence by learning to do her business outside in no time. She also found a forever home with Lucie Demetre, who fell in love with her sweet personality.
Jess had a longer and harder journey to recovery, but she never gave up hope. She was adopted by Laura, a kind woman who cared for her eye and hip problems. Laura also arranged for Jess to see an eye specialist soon. Jess was happy to join Laura's family of furry friends.
These two pups are examples of how dog adoption can change lives for the better. They went from being neglected and suffering to being loved and pampered.
