A few months later, when Myers suffered a stroke and found himself unable to move or reach his phone, Sadie sprang into action. She licked his face, barked for help, and used her strength to drag him closer to his phone.

During his hospital and rehab stay, Sadie stayed with Myers' family, and they kept in touch through FaceTime. When Myers finally returned home, the reunion between him and Sadie was emotional and joyful. Myers considers adopting Sadie to be the best decision he ever made.
