Meet Panama, the little puppy with a big heart and an amazing smile. She may have been covered in mange and living in an old tire, but her unwavering spirit and happy demeanor captured the hearts of the workers at a Memphis warehouse.
After seeing Panama for a few days, the compassionate workers began leaving food out for her. Although she was too timid to approach them, she smiled from inside her tire home, giving them hope that they could help her.

Thanks to the quick thinking of Michelle Quina, foster coordinator for Streetdog Foundation, Panama was rescued from the dangers of the nearby busy street. After a trip to the vet, she was diagnosed with demodex mange and worms, but Quina brought her home to foster and nurse her back to health.

Panama's lively personality shone through from the start, and she's been thriving in her foster home. At only 14 weeks old, she's already almost fully potty-trained and knows a few tricks. Quina is convinced that Panama must have been someone's beloved pet because of her intelligence and sweet nature.
Panama's story is a testament to the resilience and joy that can be found in even the most difficult circumstances. She may have started out with nothing, but with love and care, she has everything she needs to thrive. And with her charming smile and playful nature, it's clear that she's destined to find a perfect forever home.
