Meet Gardenia! This is the reality of stray dogs in Houston. She is covered in mange and secondary infections. It’s scary to look at and makes people turn a blind eye when they see these dogs on the street.
Gardenia had mange. Mange is a skin condition where small mites living under the skin cause itchiness and hair loss. She has also been on antibiotics since I picked her up to prevent infection. Happy Friday from a happy Gardenia!
Gardenia has always been friendly with my dogs, but now she’s even starting to really play with them. I can’t believe it’s been less than a week since I picked her up. She’s going to be so beautiful!
It’s safe to say, this girl is feeling better! Gardenia is more and more beautiful and lovely. We're officially going to be a family!
