MEET NERO!
I found this poor dog in the rubbish tip today. So skinny and looking for scraps amongst the trash and barely able to walk. Skull prominent and sunken due to malnutrition and ribs visible. I have taken him to my vet who has carried out x-rays. This poor dog appears to have been used for hunting then dumped when no longer useful.
His body is riddled with multiple bυllҽts and he has fractured ribs and leg and also has cαnƈer in his chest. You can see on his x rays every bright white spot is a bυllҽt.
He will need two surgeries to fix his leg and remove the cαnƈer. He is safe now and I will improve his body weight with nutritious food and his ribs will heal over time. He has fractures in his two legs.
His neck has a deep wound. This dog is very, very poor, he has suffered a lot and it is time for him to rest and feel healthy again He cannot have the cancerous tumours removed yet as his body weight is so low that an anesthetic would kill him.
This old boy continues to gain weight and get healthier. When I first found him he only weighed 11 kilograms- he now weighs 25 kilos. I need to get him to around 35 kilos which will be his true weight as a hunting dog.
He is now a happy and cheerful boy. He is extremely kind and calm.
